My name is Tiffany and I'm a certified personal fitness trainer. I work as an indepedent contractor at Premier Fitness in Annapolis, MD. I also own my own business for in-home training, that is, going to client's home's to train them. I have a passion for giving people the cushion and everything they need to achieve their fitness goals that they can use for the rest of their lives. I graduated High School in Columbia, MD being an all-state basketball player along with playing soccer and softball. I was always interested in fitness and helping individuals. I've attended Anne Arundel Community College and have earned a Certifcation in ACE in personal training. I train all types of clients with different goals, although my focus is in weightloss and toning among women. I currently reside in Anne Arundel County, work at Premier Fitness in Annapolis, and travel to different homes to give my clients the most challenging, luxurious, and enjoyable workout sessions as possible while helping them achieve their fitness goals outside of the workout sessions at the same time. I think everyone can agree that the way of life today is extremely hectic. Busy schedules, children, strenuous jobs and high expectations. It leads us to make un-healthy choices in the foods we eat & how we take care of our bodies.
This is why I put the personal in personal trainer.
I'm so passionate about my career, I don't believe that the true way to train people is just for a 1 hour session a week. Being fit is a lifestyle, not just a quick fix. So my clients work up a pretty good sweat and burn quite a few calories, but what do they do for the next few days until I return? Relapse? I'm not going to let that happen. I believe I do whatever I can to personally motivate my clients. That is, keeping in contact with them throughout the week, giving clients personal nutrition plans, making individual and challenging workout routines, discussing and re-evaluating goals, sending my clients emails or frequent phone calls to keep them on track and answering any questions that they might have until our next session.
I'm here to help, it's my passion. It's my job. And we can do it together!
A Few Questions for the Trainer...
Q: What is your favorite fitness TV show?
A: Workout!
Q: Training clients all day can be very busy, when do you find time to exercise on your own?
A: It depends. I keep my workouts pretty short, (30-45 minutes) and to the point. Consistency is the key. I'd rather do 10 minutes a day, everyday, than to do 45 minutes once a week. Doing something everyday keeps me motivated and accountable by understanding and achieving daily goals.
Q: What about those ads on TV that can help me lose 3 dress sizes in 1 week, or tone up my tummy by using their product?
A: Truth is, there is no easy way out of anything. Most of these products you see on infomercials can indeed help you, but the obvious key is that you have to actually useit. Many people get the satisfaction of buying these products thinking that they can work, but as long as it's sitting in the back of your closet, you're going nowhere with it. Bowflex, smartgym, or ab-crunch, for example, can be awesome pieces of exercise equipment if used properly and consistently, along with proper nutrition intakes and other factors.
Q: What is your least favorite and favorite exercise to do?
A: My least favorite is lunges. And i'd say my favorites are tricep extensions and calf raises.
Q: What does a typical meal of breakfast look like for you?
A: Somedays i'll have a medium-sized white-egg omellette made with 1/4 cup of chopped spinach leaves, red & green peppers, sliced churry tomatoes, bits of deli ham & turkey a pinch of low-fast cheddar cheese and mildly seasoned with pepper and Old Bay. I'll also have a glass of orange juice with a tiny bowl of oatmeal mixed with raisins.
